To know what recovery mode is adecuate for the inserted in selected device,press the button AutoDetect. A dialog will appear showing the recovery mode to use.
Usually, the discs are recorded in only one format. However, there are discs that include the file indexes in both formats. For instance, a Adaptec DirectCD discs which has been closed for read in all devices. In this case, the disc will be detected as UDF, suggesting to recover it in Mode B, but you can find files also by scanning it in Mode A.
If the disc is not autodetected, you can try the scanning with UltraRescue Mode.
